Car Parking / Travel
14 York Street is located right in the centre of Bath which is small and very pedestrianised.
This is great for getting around on foot but it is difficult to navigate a car in the central area.
The following is good advice on how to get to 14 York Street!
When travelling from the West or the South approach Bath from the Lower Bristol Road or the Wells Road
(see location page), head for the Railway Station and from there drive up Manvers Street which becomes Pierrepont Street
from which York Street is reached by making a left turn.
When travelling from the North or the East approach Bath along the London Road (A4), turning left into Bathwick Street (A36)
which becomes Pulteney Road. Turn right into North Parade (just before the railway bridge) and at the traffic lights turn right
into Pierrepont Street and then immediately left for York Street.
Have a look at the map (zoom in [+] for more detail) on our location webpage.
York Street, itself, is a ’no through road’ approachable only as described above.
Parking is at a huge premium in Bath due to it's compact nature. We are able to supply (at small additional cost)
a parking permit on a daily basis enabling parking anywhere in central zone parking area which includes York Street.
This is by far the easiest and most cost effective option.
In any event when arriving by car it should be possible to stop outside the property and unload suitcases.
Bath is well placed on the rail network – The journey time from Bristol is just 15 minutes and from London or Birmingham about 90 minutes.
The Railway Station (and the Bus Station beside it) is close to the City Centre and it's a 5 minute walk to 14 York Street.
No taxi required if you have wheels on your suitcase!
Central Bath is a 45 minute car/taxi ride from Bristol airport.
The transfer time from both London Heathrow Airport or Birmingham Airport is 1.5 to 2 hours.
